Our standard turnaround time is 5 working days between receipt of your order (email or post) and emailing/posting the finished work to you.
Yes, we probably can - just get in touch with us by telephone, email or completing the contact form and we will let you know if your work can be completed earlier.
Anything stored on your computer as a file that can be emailed to us. It will usually have been created directly from a digital camera or scanned in from an old photograph.
You can send files up to 5Mb in size. If your image is larger than this then just contact us by telephone, email or using our enquiry form and we will discuss other ways in which you can send your image to us. You should note that even if you have a fast internet connection, sending a large file to us may take a few minutes. Even with Broadband, upload speeds are typically five times slower than download speeds and an average Broadband connection will take 2 minutes to upload a 5Mb image.
We prefer JPEG images and for best results suggest a resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch) with a minimum size of 6"x4". However, we can work with other formats and resolutions, so if you're not sure just send the image to us and we'll let you know if there are any problems.
It depends on how the image has been created and whether there is enough detail for us to work with. For example, if a picture is too small or has been scanned at too low a resolution, then the restored picture will not have as much detail in. If you're not sure, just send the digital image to us and we'll let you know.
No problem, just post the photograph to us and we can scan it to create a high quality digital image to work with. Your original photograph will be returned to you by recorded delivery and the postage cost is included in the price of our scanning service.
To minimise the risk of the photograph being lost in the post we suggest you send it to us by recorded delivery and we will return it to you by first class recorded delivery. We also suggest you try to protect the photograph from damage in the post, e.g. by placing it between two pieces of card. Once we receive your photograph we will simply scan it and work on the scanned file, so the original will not be damaged or altered by us.
If the photo is larger than 6"x4" then scan at 300 dpi
If the photo is smaller than 6"x4" then scan at 600 dpi
Scan in colour (24 bit if possible) even if your photo is black & white
Don't make any adjustments
Save as a JPEG file at the highest quality setting and with the lowest compression
Make sure the glass is clean!
