Our restoration process will do the following for your pictures:

Retone or correct colour balance (many old photographs acquire a colour cast with age)

Improve contrast and colour range and saturation

Remove dust and marks

Heal wrinkles, cracks, creases, folds, tears and rips

Remove stains and blemishes

Put torn images back in one piece

Recreate missing parts of a torn picture

Remove reticulation (where age and humidity conspire to make the emulsion surface of the photograph lose its smoothness)

Restore fading colours

All restoration work is carried out using advanced digital restoration techniques and software. But most importantly this is NOT AN AUTOMATED PROCESS. The service is carried out by highly trained, experienced and qualified human beings who can expertly scrutinize and assess what is wrong with the photograph and use the most appropriate tools and techniques to make it look as good as possible. We have been doing this for over 8 years and will use all the experience we have gained over this time to help you.

Gold restoration service - careful restoration and repair with the digital image emailed back to you. Just email a digital image to us and we will assess the image and apply a range of carefully selected techniques to repair and bring out the very best in the photograph

Platinum restoration service - for more heavily damaged pictures, again with a digital image emailed to you. This will take care of rips, tears, missing pieces, etc. which will be carefully and lovingly repaired

Colouration - black and white magically transformed into colour. The work is not automated, but is performed by a skilled professional, so will be carefully and lovingly undertaken, tailored according to your instructions and requirements

Digital makeover - portraits given the showbiz star treatment. Maybe you have a photograph you really like but which could be improved slightly. Or maybe you want something with all those little imperfections removed. Scars, wrinkles, spots, blemishes, etc. can all have some digital surgery. We can change/enhance colours, improve the contrast, tone or lighting effects and even make you lose a little weight! It's not really cheating, it's what all the glossy magazines do for their cover models, so why not give yourself or a loved one the treat of a stunning portrait. As with the colouration this is not automated and any requirements or specific instructions you have can be accommodated

Scanning - if you don't have a digital copy of the photograph to email to us and don't have access to a scanner, then you can post it to us and we will scan it to produce a high resolution digital copy of the photograph which can then be worked on for restoration. The original photograph will be returned to you by recorded delivery

Printing - we can also produce high quality printed copies of the restored digital image, in colour or black and white. Professional photographic printers, papers and inks are used to produce the very best quality results. Standard size prints are available in A4, but we can print at any size as required up to A3+
